Emmanuel Oyetunde Olaoti

Emmanuel Oyetunde Olaoti, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Equality Global Support Foundation is a social entrepreneur with unwavering interest in global health, equality, community health promotion, sexual health and rights.

Emmanuel started his sojourn into charitable humanitarian initiatives as a young undergraduate in one of Africa’s foremost academic citadels, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and has built a career in organizational management, nonprofit program design, capacity building and evaluation spanning over 15 years.

During his college days, he was instrumental to creating the first-ever student-led community-based organization which implemented activities aimed at creating awareness on issues affecting young people, providing sexual health education, mobilizing services and subsequently resulted in the creation of an HIV treatment referral network for young people within and outside the University community.

Emmanuel is of the firm belief that the impacts of discrimination and persecution of minority groups last for several generations and that everyone must join hands to help people in need. Over the years, he has gained valuable, yet extensive experience collaborating and working with local and international development organizations on programs targeting diverse populations in different countries of the world. He has a very strong confidence in the power of community to create sustainable change lasting a lifetime.

Emmanuel’s favorite person is Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu, whose teachings, advocacy, defense and protection of sexual minorities greatly inspires him. Emmanuel enjoys parenting, mentoring young people, staying active, music, watching soccer and basketball games, and traveling. Emmanuel has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Geography and a Master of Business Administration postgraduate degree.
